Welcome Back To Campus with Seacoast Games 

Sharpen your pencils and plug in the laptops! Fall is right around the corner and that means colleges and universities as well as high schools across the area are headed back to the dorms and classrooms. One of the best ways to welcome students back is to plan icebreaker activities as well as events that will get them right back into the swing of things. 

From “Welcome Back” weeks to homecoming activities and from new student orientation to senior events, Seacoast Events has the games, lighting, entertainment and activities to make the start of the new year successful. 

The Goal of Welcome Back Events 

The start of a new school year is filled with a flurry of excitement and sometimes dreaded anxiety of the unknown. That’s why planning games and activities, especially for the newest members of your campus, is key to making the transition back to the classroom a smooth one. 

Activities and events where students have a chance to interact and work together as a team can help even the most nervous among them feel like they have a role. These activities aren’t just meant as a fun distraction from when the schoolwork starts but as a way to get classmates to get to know one another and find commonalities. 

Playing games and activities in key areas of your campus can also help students get acquainted with the layout of the campus and learn more about amenities and locations across the campus. 

Here are some of the fun Seacoast games and activities that could help your Welcome Back Week shine! 

Larger Than Life Sports

As students head back to campus, there’s a lot of nervous energy that needs to come out somehow, so playing games is a great way to burn off that energy while also meeting new people. These unique giant inflatable games will have your students laughing and enjoying their first few days on campus memorably. 

Human Foosball 

Up to five players on each team can take part in this life-sized version of soccer on an inflatable field. Join together with classmates to play a little Futbol against each other all while getting to know each other. 

Curling

If you are a fan of the Winter Olympics, you may be familiar with the game of curling. The Seacoast version of this is much larger, tends to be more fun and requires less skill. 

Our non-regulation Curling surface is a 28’ long inflatable “ice” surface. Players slide their Curling Stones down the “ice” and knock their opponent’s stones away in hopes of maintaining the best accuracy. This game is fun and exciting as well as a great way to start conversations and develop team camaraderie. 

Field Goal Challenge 

If you love to kick a ball, this is your game. Our gigantic Field Goal inflatable allows players to compete for bragging rights of who has the most accurate and strongest kick. Compete individually or as a team to knock out the team with the best boot! 

Axe Throwing 

Using a blow-up target and velcro axes, your team competes against others for the best throwing arm and accuracy. This fun game is a popular one as people of all ages and skills can take part. 

Giant Pop-A-Shot 

Basketball lovers rejoice as this giant free throw shot inflatable will give your students hours of laughs and fun as they test their aim and get to know each other. Competition can be as a team or individually.
