How To Get Guests Involved in Your Special Event
November 6, 2024

September and October are by far the most popular wedding months according to The Knot, the global online powerhouse for couples planning their weddings. Peak wedding months, especially in New England, land squarely in autumn for the mild weather and spectacular “show” the foliage presents every fall.

The Taste & Look of Fall

Chances are, if you have been to a wedding in the last few years, you have experienced the splendor of a fall wedding in our region. From autumn decor options to seasonal flowers and from fall color choices to menu items, the season can play heavily into choices to set the tone and aesthetic for the event.

Popular items that may make it on a wedding dinner menu include cider donuts as a late-night snack after dancing, a cider-based signature drink for cocktail hour, apple or pumpkin pie for dessert, and freshly harvested veggies from a local farm as a side to your main dish could add some seasonal uniqueness to your reception menu.

In terms of decor, the color palette of autumn glows with deep oranges, burnt yellows, brilliant burgundy, and jewel tones to make for stunning pictures! Consider colorful fall gourds or centerpieces with seasonal flowers such as colorful Mums, Red Japanese Maple leaves, creamy Peonies, and so much more that could add a splash of fall color to the tables. A bridal bouquet or groom’s boutonniere could include fall colors that coordinate with the centerpieces and venue decor. Autumn allows for a cornucopia of colors to enjoy on the wedding day and in photos for years to come.

Fall Wedding Activities

Most wedding guests expect to eat, dance and mingle with friends and family during receptions. But nowadays many expect to be entertained with something interactive such as a photo booth, games or something unique to the couple.

Seacoast Events takes all the guesswork out of planning and organizing these activities on your big day. From games to photo booths to interactive entertainment for all ages, we can provide exactly what you need to make all of your guests happy.

One of our most popular activities for wedding receptions is the photo booth in recent years. Guests love to use our photo booth props to take creative and one-of-a-kind photos with friends and family who they may not have seen for a while. Choose from our green screen photo booth, open-air photo booth, classic booth, or our latest option the Draw Me booth option.

Our games are also a popular choice to keep guests entertained. Especially fun are our games that can be set up for use during the cocktail hour such as giant Jenga, connect four, chess, or cornhole to name a few.
